Our Mission
Las Vegas Paiute Tribe Child Development Center believes a positive self-image is the key to successful learning. Our program is designed to stimulate and encourage each child to learn at their own pace, meeting their individual needs. Our staff takes great care to nurture the children as they move through each developmental stage. We focus on an educational enrichment program. The staff of the CDC embrace the philosophy that family is a child’s first teacher and we are committed to working with families to establish strong communication, integrate family values and culture and share information and resources.
The CDC is fully funded by a Tribal CCDF grant which allows low-income families access to child care. Children must be a member of a federally recognized Indian Tribe, the child of a member of a federally recognized Indian Tribe or the descendant of a member of a federally recognized Indian Tribe and they must reside on or within 30 miles of the external boundaries of the Las Vegas Colony or Snow Mountain Reservation.
FREE childcare is available Monday-Thursday from 9:00am-4:00pm. Additional hours of care (7:30am-6:00pm) may be available for parents who are Working, in Job Training and/or an Education Program. Childcare fees may be applicable and will be based on a sliding fee scale.
